Hi and welcome to Crochet Hook Cottage!

I'm Jodie, the owner/operator. Crocheting is my passion, I was taught how to crochet in 1979 by my Nana, and have been hooking away ever since! I began Crochet Hook Cottage in 2019, after losing my job due to health complications as a result of breast cancer treatments. I needed some way to bring in some extra money to pay for food, bills and the mortgage, so when a friend told me I should try selling the items I crocheted the business was born and I opened an Etsy shop. I began designing my own crochet patterns that same year, and there are many more of those to come. In June 2023 I decided it was time for my own website as well, and so here we are!

I love to make all sorts of items - clothing, blankets, products for the home; that's why you will see such an eclectic mix in my shop. I crochet products from all eras, I inherited my Nana's pattern collection, as well as the patterns I have been collecting since the 1970's, so you will see a wide range of vintage to modern era styles here.

Here at Crochet Hook Cottage I try to be as human, and eco, friendly as possible. The majority of yarns and materials I use are natural fibres and hypoallergenic. Just read the product information for full details.

When it comes to sizing the measurements are also listed in the product information - with clothing measurements, and sizing, may change for each product, as a size S for a pattern from the 1950's is totally different to a size S from today!
